Well, this is new…

Welcome to the Twenty Two Yards Weekly Picks! The world of cricket is confusing and conflicting—largely thanks to the dreaded calendar—so we’ve decided to bring you the beautiful game’s need-to-know moments every week, from the action in the middle to the musings on the boundary.

So, in case you missed it, here’s what we noticed over the last seven days…

Sean Paul to Kick Off WC in Style

Sean Paul loves his cricket. The artist known for his hit "Get Busy" is hailed as one of the most prolific figures in dancehall music history. Paul earned a special place in cricket folklaw, incorporating the name "Chanderpaul" into the openings of some of his songs, something that blew my head off when I found out.  Paul and Kes have teamed up to provide us with a dancehall anthem to soundtrack this summer's T20 World Cup. You can't ask for much more.

Cricketing powers are debating the return of the T20 'Champions League' ten years after the infamous 'CL20'. Delegates from England, India, and Australia are leading the talks, according to ESPNCricInfo. Stokes Goes to Herzogenaurach

This week, the England captain—and Adidas-signed athlete—revealed via his Instagram that he had visited Adidas' HQ in Herzogenaurach, Germany, for footwear testing and feedback to help the Three Stripes develop new cricket footwear products. Signature spike incoming…?

Meanwhile in England…
