Well, it's official. Rahul Dravid is moving on as HC after the T20 World Cup. The job has been posted on social media, so if you fancy it, knock your CV together from when you coached the under-11s and give it a go. Not your everyday LinkedIn browsing. But do you really want to? With Indian cricket, nothing but complete domination is acceptable. The role's ruthless nature means you could find yourself answering to Parliament if every ball doesn’t go for six. You’d either have to be slightly insane or have an ego to match the players themselves…we know some people… *cough* Ravi *cough*

Don’t Cry Because it’s Over; Be Happy it Happened

This is going to be tough, deep breath…

After nearly 25 years of service, 187 test matches and, of course, 700 wickets, Jimmy’s hanging them up. Many of us don’t know a world without Anderson clutching the new ball and having whoever is in front of him 3 for nothing. We all knew this day would come, but that doesn’t make it any easier. Anderson will fittingly play his last test match at Lord’s against the West Indies in the first test of the series. So here’s to a true great of the game. I’m not crying. You are.

£62M and No Retractable Roof

Last week, the MCC announced a £61.8M renovation of the Tavern and Allen Stands at Lord’s to update the infrastructure and boost capacity with a modest 1,100 seats. But for that money…why would the Home of Cricket not push the envelope and give the fans what they really want…an underground go-karting track? Or an infinity pool atop the pavilion. Or even a retractable roof? Now that’s what we’d like to see.
