Vintage Cricket Shirts Are The Future

Whilst vintage football shirts are at the peak of their powers and being worn by players, celebrities and even cricketers during their warm up, you don’t often see many cricket kits being stylised on the street. Maybe the odd England ‘05 Test or ODI kit at Glastonbury. Cricket’s time will come though. And we’ll be ready, donning one of these bad boys.

This article from Daniel Gallan is a perfect read to understand the state of play of kit culture and why cricket is yet to catch the wave.

Mental Health In Cricket Is Real

You know that feeling when you’re walking out to bat against your local pie chucker, and you can’t remember if you turned the oven off at home. Is my house on fire right now? Where will I sleep tonight? Concentrate, concentrate. Oh, brilliant. I’ve missed a straight one from the opposition’s 68-year-old stalwart.

Well, replace old Graham with Jasprit Bumrah, and add in not seeing any of your friends and family for SEVEN months, all while living out of a suitcase. The life of a cricketer in the modern world is far from easy. Australia pacer Jhye Richardson has opened up about his mental health struggles during the 2021 IPL, which was played amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Diagnosed with clinical anxiety, Richardson reflected on the season when the tournament was suspended midway. With the cricket calendar stretching year-round and governing bodies considering further additions…are we approaching breaking point?

These cannabis gummies keep selling out in 2023

If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That’s why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Mood is an online dispensary that has invented a “joint within a gummy” that’s extremely potent yet federally-legal. Their gummies are formulated to tap into the human body’s endocannabinoid system.

Although this system was discovered in the 1990’s, farmers and scientists at Mood were among the first to figure out how to tap into it with cannabis gummies. Just 1 of their rapid onset THC gummies can get you feeling right within 5 minutes!

The Hundred May Have A Buyer

Just when you thought it was over, they pull you right back in! The Hundred has just finished, but everyone’s favourite cricket pantomime villain is back. CVC Capital Partners are in talks to buy one of The Hundred franchises, marking the first private equity investment in English cricket. The ECB have issued sales decks for the eight franchises, with all 10 Indian Premier League owners competing with CVC in a process expected to conclude by Christmas. CVC is focusing on the Oval Invincibles and has attended matches at the south London ground. This move might face backlash from cricket fans and potential opposition from Surrey, which wants to keep its 51% stake in the Invincibles. Will it happen? What does this mean? Is Jay Shah behind all of this? All questions. Answer is, nobody knows.
