The Right (and Left) Arm Off Spinner
In Major League Baseball, LA Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani is often referred to as a ‘Unicorn’ due to his unique ability to act as a dual-specialist by pitching and hitting. Well, meet cricket’s own Unicorn…Glamorgan’s Ben Kellaway - the right-arm off spinner who can swap to left-arm off spin. We caught up with the 21-year-old Welshman ahead of the 2025 season to hear more about how it originated, when he recorded the scalp of England’s Ben Foakes last season and the importance of innovating as a spinner in today’s game. Click here for the full interview.
“Just being a standard off-spinner, it’s become really difficult with the way that the batters have developed all these new shots. Bowlers have also got to do something to counteract that.”

Chaos & Collusion Ahead of 18th IPL

While we wait for the season to start, the real action is in India’s boardrooms. The CCI raided top ad agencies — GroupM, Publicis, Dentsu, Madison, and IPG —over alleged price-fixing. What started as a media probe now points to Big Tech’s involvement in ad deals…just as the 18th edition of the IPL gets underway.
Executives were grilled, devices cloned, and emails scanned late into the night. If guilty, firms could face eye-watering fines—up to three times their profits. The ad world is rattled, but this investigation is just getting started.
Meanwhile, let’s focus on more important things—like whether Cameron Green is going to go well at Gloucestershire.
England Captain’s

First Jos resigns, now Heather is sacked. There’s a shake-up happening in English cricket ahead of (what should be) an exciting summer, and it’s not entirely surprising after the turbulent autumn/winter both the men’s and women’s teams had, which included whitewashes, early exits in major tournaments and lacklustre performances. Heavy is the head that wears the crown captain’s blazer, and it’s time for a new (white-ball) King and Queen of England. One thing is for sure, both teams won’t be sure of talented players to choose from…but genuine leaders? We’ll have to wait and see.
